Welcome to the game hacking guide!

The zero-to-hero guide for game hacking, an extremely information dense crash course to undetected cheats.

This guide focuses ‘external’ cheats only, written simply as I got tired of explaining things repeatedly.

Note: This is a skeleton guide - meaning it is meant to give you leads and breakthroughs - not hold your hand.

First steps - Scanning

Scanning is simply the act of manipulating a value you control, such as ammo, player coordinates or view angles.

A few decent scanners in no particular order:

• Cheat Engine
  • Detected by any anti-cheat without patches.
  • Has a GUI.
• scanflow
  • Amazing tool that we will be exploring later.
  • Lacks the ability for do differential scans (ie compare to last scan) .
  • Does not work on windows without patches.

The Cheat Engine built-in tutorial does an adequate job of teaching the basics of scanning.
